Hi everyone! I’m just checking in from a mini blogging hiatus. Life has been 100% madness lately, but in a good way. What’s not good is that I totally puked today, recovered, ate dinner and now feel incredibly vomit-y again. Needless to say, this post will be full of pictures and little words due to a gurgling stomach that’s threatening my well-being, but I digress…
Sunday: 4 miles at a 9:20 pace. I hadn’t run in nearly a week. Caroline’s party this weekend consumed my life last week and it was my priority. It happens. As much as I’d like to stick to my training plan, I’ve realized that life must go on and other things take precedent in terms of tempo runs and speed sessions and I can’t feel guilty about that. As I start my new job on Tuesday, I’m curious to see how it affects my training. Fingers crossed I can do my best, but if not…I might be taking a very leisurely 13.1 mile walk in three weeks
This run went surprisingly well though as seen by my time. I really just wanted to shake my legs out, but I ended up hustling for the majority of it. I AM having blister issues again though. I think this calls for an email to Coach Holly for advice with a disgusting picture of my blister and/or a visit to Fleet Feet.
Yesterday was Caroline’s BIG birthday party, everyone! I put more freaking effort into planning this party than I did my own wedding. Ryan and I have never hosted a big party like this at our house, but with a lot of planning and some help from family…the day ended up being perfect! Expect a lot of sappy posts this week. I’m in denial that my Tiny Liney is no longer “tiny”—she’s a big girl and my brain just can’t compute that yet. So without further ado, here are some pictures of the day!
